About Deccan Odyssey Train

The Deccan Odyssey Train a joint venture between Indian Railways & Govt. Of Maharashtra and onboard services are managed by Taj Group of Hotels.The website www.deccanodyssey.com is promoted by Lawrence Travels & Tours Pvt Ltd. .

This luxury train was first introduced in 2004 & in September ,2010 has undergone major renovation work & refurbishment of it's rich interiors.

Train Tour
During Night,the train is travelling from one town to another & in the day time you enjoy pre-paid excursion and sightseeing tours at each tourist destination. From October 2009 ,the Deccan Odyssey Train is operating on three different 7 Nights train tour circuits.

Circuit 1: Traditional 7 Nights Deccan Odyssey train tour from Mumbai/Mumbai,covering Sindhudurg Fort,Goa & Tarkarli Beach,Kolhapur town,Aurangabad Fort,Ellora Caves,Tadoba Tiger Reserve, Ajanta Caves & Nasik temple town.You have option to book part Mumbai/Goa part journey also.

Circuit 2: recently introduced 7 Nights Indian Maharaja Deccan Train Tour from Mumbai/Delhi covering Aurangabad Fort,Ellora Caves,Ajanta Caves,Taj Mahal in Agra; & famous destination of Rajasthan- Udaipur lake town,Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve & Jaipur Pink city.

Circuit 3: recently introduced Nights Indian Maharaja Deccan Train from Delhi/Mumbai covering reverse tour circuit of Taj Mahal in Agra; Jaipur Pink city ;Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve ;Udaipur lake town; Aurangabad Fort; & UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Ellora & Ajanta Caves.

For Deccan Odyssey train tour from Mumbai/Mumbai ,all excursions are pre-arranged in groups with common English Speaking Guides However,for Indian Maharaja Train Tour you have option to book Group Excursion with Common English speaking Guide (Silver Class) OR Private Excursion with Exclusive Guide with language of Choice ( Gold & Platinum Class)
