HERITAGE ON WHEELS Train Tour- An Introducion

The Indian Railways in Joint Collaboration with Rajasthan Tourism has revived the run of A/C Metre Gauge Palace On Wheels(with sharing toilets) Train on Four Days New Tourist Circuit of Bikaner & Shekhawati Ex.Jaipur from 17th Feb,2006 & renamed The Heritage On Wheels Train Tour.

The Heitage Train is scheduled to Operate twice a week from Jaipur viz.Tuesday evening /Friday Morning; & Friday Evening to Monday morning.

Destinations Covered : Bikaner -Gajner-Blackbuck Deer Sanctuary- Shekhawati regions of Mandawa & Nawalgarh Ex.Jaipur

Duration : 3 Nights & 4 Days

Dayy to Day Tour Schedule - Detailed Tour Proram - Heritage Train Tour
( Ex.jaipur every Tuesday & Friday from 17th Feb, 2006)

Day 1: (Tuesday / Friday ) : Jaipur - Board Heritage on Wheels
Evening 630 pm(1830 hrs) report at Jaipur Railway Station to board The 3 Nights Heritage Train tour .Check-in & board the Heritage Train.Alloted A/C cabin with sharing toilets. Heritage Train Departs from Jaipur Railway Station at 1930 hrs for Bikaner.Dinner on Board.
Night Stay -The Heritage Train

Day 2: ( Wednesday / Saturday ) : Visit Bikaner on Heritage Train
After early breakfast on board proceed for Sightseeing of 16th century Junagarh Fort.Later drive to Gajner Palace Hotel for lunch & enjoy safari in
deer sanctuary.Return to Desert town for evening tea at early 20th century Lalgarh Palace Hotel complex. Board back the Heritage Train by 1830 hrs for rest & dinner.
Depart from Bikaner Railway Station for Shekhawati region.

Day 3:( Thursday / Sunday ) : Visit Shekhawati on Heritage Train
Early morning excursion to Tal Chhapar Black buck Deer Sanctuary. Return to Heritage Train for freshening up & breakfast. Proceed for sightseeing of famous Ramgarh & Mandawa painted Havelis(19th century abandoned mansions) Enjoy lunch at Mandawa Desert Resort. Afternoon sightseeing of popular Nawalgarh painted mansions. Return to Heritage Train by 1900 hrs & depart for Jaipur. Dinner on board.

Day 4:( Friday / Monday ): Heritage Train arrives Jaipur :
After early breakfast check-out from Heriage Train tour by 0730 hrs.

HERITAGE ON WHEELS- Facilities On Board
This Metre Gauge A/C Palace On Wheels Train with sharing toilets offers 13 Passenger Saloons(each having 4 sleeper cabins sharing 2 toilets) with small lounge ;2 Dining cars of 35 capacity each;One Bar Lounge for 30 persons.Some of the the Senior Staff of Palace On Wheels train has been selected for this new Tourist Circuit run.

NOTE: This Maharaja train also operated
# As Metre Gauge Palace On Wheels Tour from 1990 to 1995
# As Royal Orient Train tour from 1997 to 2003.

BOOKING PROCEDURE:
(i) We require proposed Travel dates with names & nationality of passengers
(ii) Booking is confirmed against receipt of Minimum 20% (twenty percent) advance tour deposit
(iii) Full payment must reach us minimum 35 days before departure date
(iv) Payment can be made by Credit Card Authorisation / Electronic Money transfer through your bank/any other method mutually agreed upon

CANCELLATION TERMS & CONDITIONS:
(i) MINIMUM cancellation fee of 5% of tour cost,if written request received more than 61 days in advance
(ii) MINIMUM cancellation fee of 20% of tour cost,if written request received more than 32 days in advance
(iii) MINIMUM cancellation fee of 50% of tour cost,if written request received more than 17 days in advance
(iv) MINIMUM cancellation fee of 100% of tour cost,if written request received less than 16 days in advance
(v) Amendments in Tour Dates Or Change in Passenger name are treated as cancellation for Heitage On Wheels Train tour.
(vi) The management of Heritage On Wheels reserves the right to reschudule;curtail sightseeing & excursion tours at short notice without any liability
(vii) Disputes,if any,are subject to jursidiction of courts of New Delhi(India) only.
